It’s an old wisdom largely ignored these days since food has become cheap. Many people are overweight, they lack energy, fall sick. An easy, fundamentally basic way to avoid all this is by always keeping a bit hungry. Don’t eat until you’re full. It makes you stronger all around.
Always remaining a bit hungry not only improves glucose and insulin levels. The digestive tract does not have to work so hard. The intestines, kidneys and liver are relieved. Eating, on the other hand, until you can’t get a bite in makes everything go limp.
The organs need all the blood to work, drains blood from the brain, which is supplied with less oxygen. One has trouble thinking, is tired, has no drive and no concentration.
Don’t always give in to the body’s cravings right away. Controlling appetite also strengthens not only mental discipline. Hunger keeps you alert, boosts hormone growth, which in turn aids in regeneration and keeps you looking younger and fresher – not to mention better digestion.
Eat less. Be more aware of what you eat – and stay hydrated and get enough sleep. You will feel more energy and that zest and hunger for life.
