Some days, you should give yourself a break. Life is about cycles, about repeating patterns that help us learn and understand what is achievable and what is not; what is within my reach and what is just a dream; what is possible and what is not. Sometimes pausing is the most sensible way of moving forward.
I can not perform every day. I can not always run a little faster. I do not have endless energy. But what I do have: sanity. Knowing when enough is enough, when my body needs rest to recover and build itself up.
Health tips and training plans are counterproductive if they are stubbornly followed without considering life conditions and circumstances.
Sometimes you just need to relax. Let yourself go. Enjoy that extra chocolate you’ve been craving, be lazy, have a drink or do whatever that relaxes you. Pausing strengthens body and mind.
